Our Story
We bought the store in February 2018 from Glenn and Sandy McConnell, Jason’s father and stepmother. Vanessa has worked there since 2001, all through high school and college. Jason helped out many times throughout the years his father owned it from 2001-2018. In 2018, Vanessa quit her full time job to run the store and Jason has his own full time construction business and works at the store some nights and almost every weekend.
McConnell’s store provides locals and customers with many of the basic necessities as well as the needs for traveling, camping and outdoor activities known to Pine Creek Valley. We are known for our subs and soft serve ice cream cones to many of our local and returning customers. The store has been around for over a hundred years providing items and supplies to all the people of PCV whether they are locals, have cabins or family homes here or just visiting, and/or passing through. We intend to keep it this way for many years to come.
